Article I. Category of Working Committee

Article II

Functions of Each Committee

  1. Membership Committee
    1. Receive all application for Society membership.
    2. Set standards and guidelines for membership.
    3. Conduct Society Induction for ALL incoming members.
    4. Lead the incoming members in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Society.
    5. Coordinate with Education Committee for the enhancement of all bonafide members.
    6. Issue Certificate of Attendance after the member is inducted.
    7. Issue ID to the bonafide members.
    8. Other task related to the committee.
  1. Ways and Means Committee
    1. To developed means and operations how to generate funds and sponsorship for the projects of the Society.
    2. Developed guidelines for the fund raising campaign like Mutual Fund of the Bonafide members.
    3. Responsible for the care, custody and keeping the properties of the Society.
    4. To select and purchase merchandise for use and distribution to the Members and the Society as whole.
    5. Responsible for selecting and acquiring the necessary materials and equipment needed by the Society.
    6. To maintain a current inventory list of all merchandise in his possession and exhibit same to the Board upon their request.
    7. To determine the possible venues and other meeting place where the Society shall require.
    8. Other task related to the committee.
  1. Social Services Committee
    1. Received comments and suggestions from members and other entities.
    2. Received information for possible job placement and forward the same to the Secretariat of the Board for proper recording and dissimination.
    3. Received and process application for financial assistance of the Bonafide members.
    4. Coordinate with Finance Committte for the application of financial assistance of Bonafide members.
    5. Developed guidelines and procedures for the application of financial assistance of Bonafide members.
    6. Responsible for the Outreach program of the Society.
    7. Other task related to the committee.
  1. Sports and Recreation Committee
    1. Developed sports and recreation program of the Society.
    2. Coordinate to other Sporting Body or Agency for the possible participation of the Society members.
    3. Set rules and guidelines for a Society Sportfest activity.
    4. Coordinate with other Committees for successful implementation of the sports program.
    5. Other task related to the committee.
  1. Public Relation Committee
    1. Coordinate with Philippine Embassy for the Society accreditation.
    2. Coordinate with OWWA for requirements needed to participate in their programs with OFW.
    3. Coordinate with Dubai

      Municipality and other Local agency related to Safety, Health and Environment.
    4. Liase with other public and private organization for possible recognition of the Society.
    5. Coordinate with other committee for the successful accreditation and recognition of the Society.
    6. Other task related to the committee.
  1. Finance Committee
    1. Responsible for the appropriation of the budget for each committee and the Society as a whole.
    2. Developed guidelines and procedures with respect to disbursing and accounting of Society funds.
    3. Coordinate with other committees for their financial requirements.
    4. Other task related to the committee.
  1. Election Committee
    1. Responsible for the formulgating the election guidelines of the Society especialy during the National Convention.
    2. Check and review of the guidelines sert forth by each committee.
    3. All task related to electing and voting procedures of the Society.

  1. Education Committee
    1. Responsible for the developing of educational programs that will enhance the capabilities of Bonafide members.
    2. Ensure that all incoming Bonafide members undergone Society Induction and Pledge of Allegiance.
    3. To prepare and issue certificates of attendance.
    4. Coordinate with Membership Committee for the successful implememntation of all educational programs.
    5. Developed Safety Alerts, Safety news, Monthly Publications and Society Annuals to be dissiminated to the Bonafide members.
    6. Other task related to the committee.
  1. Human Relation Committee
    1. Attend to the complaints and greivances of the members.
    2. Extend assistance to the Bonafide Members in need according to the capacity of the Society to help.
    3. Promotion of the Society’s objective, vision and mission.
    4. Conduct investigation, interviews and other means for gathering information for Society’s benefit.
    5. Handles cases affecting the Society.
    6. Represent the Society in dealings with members case.
    7. Other task related to the committee.

Article III

Committee Composition.

  1. All Committees shall be composed of the following:
    1. Committee Chairman
    2. Committee Vice-Chairman (optional)
    3. Committee Members ( minimum of two members)
  2. The following Board of Directors are automatic members of the following committees:
    1. Membership Committee – The President
    2. Ways and Means – The Vice President
    3. Social Services - The Secretary, The Treasurer
    4. Sports and Recreation – The President
    5. Public Relation – The President, the Vice-President
    6. Finance Committee – The Treasurer
    7. Election Committee – The President, the Vice- President
    8. Education Committee – The Auditor

Article IV

Tenure of Committee Chairman

  1. The Committee Chairman shall have a tenure of Two (2) years.

Article V

Criteria for Committee Officers

  1. Committee Members – to be considered as member of Committee, the following must be meet:
    1. Have attended Three (3) or more consecutive meetings
    2. Must be a Bonafide member.
    3. Willingness to participate and support the Society activities and projects.
  2. Committee Chairmanship
    1. Have rendered a minimum three months active participation in the Society.
    2. Must be a Bonafide member.
    3. Possess and shows leadership qualities.
    4. Willingness to lead and initiate Society activities and projects.
  3. Board Officers
    1. Must be endorsed by the Committee where he belongs.
    2. Loyal and supportive of the Society objectives.

Membership (Guidelines for Membership)

Article I.

Qualification 1. Any individual who are presently employed, appointed and acted as one of the following from any duly recognized company within the Emirates.

  1. Safety Manager
  2. Safety Engineer
  3. Safety Inspector
  4. Safety Advisor
  5. Safety Officer
  6. Assistant Safety Officer
  7. Company Nurse

2. Other individual who was a safety practitioners in their previous assignment but not presently assigned as one may be accepted subject from Board discretion and approval.

3. Any Person who have performed exemplary achievements in the field of Health, Safety and Environment may be accepted subject from Board unanimous vote of acceptance.

4. Be able to meet the Society’s weekly and monthly attendance meetings.

Article II

Responsibilities

 1. Members are expected to attend all weekly and monthly meetings.

2. Members must pay annual dues to the Society. The amount shall be decided and voted by the Board.

3. Members are expected to participate and support in every activities and projects of the Society.

4. Members are encourage to aspire to committee involvement and participations.

Article III

Attendance Requirements

1. An attendance record of 80 percent is required to remain an active members of the Society.

Article IV

Category

1. Bonafide and Active Member – to be considered a bonafide members, the following must be fulfilled:

  1. Have attended Two (2) consecutive meetings of the Society.
  2. Have accomplished the membership forms.
  3. Have paid the membership fees.
  4. Have undergone Society induction and was issued certificate of attendance.
  5. Have undergone pledge of allegiance to the Society.

2. Inactive Member – to be considered inactive member, the following are causes:

  1. Not attended the three consecutive meetings.
  2. Not paid the membership fees

3. Expelled Member – those that are removed from the Society after confirming by the Board due to a cause.

Article V

Criteria for Society Officers

 1. Committee Members – to be considered as member of Committee, the following must be meet:

  1. Have attended Three (3) or more consecutive meetings
  2. Must be a Bonafide member.
  3. Willingness to participate and support the Society activities and projects.
