Dear Mr. Nedamo,

We are writing to you, as a leader of Philippine Society of Safety Professionals, to let you know that there will be national (presidential) elections on May 10, 2010. Filipinos and Filipino-dual citizens residing abroad on this date will have an opportunity to vote for President, Vice-President, Senators and Party-List Representative only if they are registered as overseas absentee voters on or before 31 August 2009.

If your members are not yet registered, please assist them to avail of this opportunity to register and participate in next year’s important political exercise. Should it become necessary, you are kindly requested to inform/accompany them to the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi with their Philippine Passport or Philippine Seaman’s book (if they are seafarers) for this purpose.

Thank you for your assistance in promoting the on-going Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV) registration and we wish you success in your undertakings.

Sincerely yours,

Rafael E. Seguis

Undersecretary for Special and Ocean Concerns

and Chairman, OAVS
